Dmae Roberts is an award-winning Amerasian radio producer who has produced more than 400 features, audio arts pieces and documentaries for National Public Radio and Public Radio International programs. In 1990, she received the prestigious George Foster Peabody award for her auto-biographical radio documentary MEI MEI, A Daughter's Song. Other awards and grants include the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, National Endowment for the Arts, Robert F. Kennedy Journalism award, Casey Medal, United Nations Silver award, the AIR award for innovation and excellence,two Clarion Awards and NFCB Golden and Silver Reels. She produced LEGACIES: TALES FROM AMERICA, LEGACIES: FAITH, HOPE and PEACE series, 1STPERSON: STORIES OF LOSS, HOPE AND PEACE and STORIES1ST: HEART OF NATURE/GROWING UP, GROWING STRONG and THE BREAST CANCER MONOLOGUES specials which have aired on 140 stations. She is currently executive producer of Crossing East, the first Asian American history series on public radio which has aired on 210 stations so far.
