Description:

Brazilian singer Bebel Gilberto comes from musical royalty in Brazil -- her father Joao Gilberto is one of the great bossa nova artists of all time. Her first album, "Tanto Tempo" had incredible world-wide success, and her second, self-titled release is just out. WFUV's Rita Houston spent some time with Bebel recently, talking about what it's been like to forge her own way while staying true to her background. This hour-long, music-rich special includes three exclusive live performances from Bebel, as well as comments and insight from musicians Vinicius Cantuaria and Daniel Jobim, French DJ and music writer Remy Kolpa Kopoul, and NY Times writer Gerald Marzorati.
