Description:

"AT HOME WITH ANI DIFRANCO"

WFUV in New York is happy to offer a rare invitation to the home of Ani DiFranco for an informal, intimate chat and impromptu performance. The renowned singer-songwriter recently sat down in her Buffalo home and studio with Rita Houston, WFUV's Music Director, where they discussed music, touring, politics, community and her new CD, "Educated Guess."

During the interview, Ani picked up her guitar and performed new versions of "Bliss Like This" and "Educated Guess." So kick off your shoes, make yourself comfortable and spend a little time "At Home with Ani DiFranco."

Produced by Rita Houston, Tara Anderson and Laura Fedele at WFUV in New York, Public Radio from Fordham University.

ABOUT ANI DIFRANCO

Ani DiFranco is a songwriter, vocalist and guitarist perpetually on the move.
From the raw folk-punk of her early albums through the jazz/funk grooves she created during her years touring with a five-piece band to the twists and turns of her current work as a solo artist, Ani's restless creativity continually leads her and her listeners into ever more exciting territory. Her 20 CD releases have collectively sold more than 4.5 million copies and her fans continue to pack theatres across the globe to see her legendary performances.

DiFranco's personal and creative life is interwoven with cultural and political issues. She has repeatedly lent her time and her voice to such diverse pursuits as opposing the death penalty, upholding women's rights, promoting gay visibility, and preserving historic buildings in Buffalo (including a long-neglected church currently being transformed into the new headquarters of
Righteous Babe Records).
