The Chinatown Youth Radio Project began in November 2005 with 8 students and is a program of the Asian Community Development Corporation. The program introduces high school students to radio as a tool for expressing their opinions and interacting with the community. It is run through a program called A-VOYCE (Asian Voices of Organized Youth for Community Empowerment) which is for high school students interested in learning about issues affecting Chinatown and the Greater Boston Asian community and creating positive change. Our show broadcasts on WMFO 91.5 FM every Saturday from 5-7pm and it also can be heard on http://www.wmfo.org. It includes commentary on issues important to Asian Americans as well as music from all genres, including work by Asian and Asian American Artists.
